Gujarat, the holy land of Lord Krishna is steeped in an aura of purity, mysticism and deep, all-pervasive spirituality. Thus, Gujarat since time immemorial had been a popular hub for god lovers from all across the globe. If you wish to relish the spiritual fervor of the state, you definitely need to go on a tour of the famous Dwarkadhish temple and the famous Shiv Jyotirlingam that the state is graced with.
Day 1 : Arrive Ahmedabad – Dwarka
Upon your arrival at Ahmedabad station/airport you are greeted by our tour representative who then escorts you Dwarka, the ancient kingdom of Lord Krishna. Dwarka is one of the four holy Chardham and one among the ‘Sapta Puri’ or ‘seven holy cities’ of Hinduism. On reaching Dwarka, check into hotel and later proceed to attend the evening Aarti at Dwarkadheesh temple. Back to hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 2: Dwarka Sightseeing
Next day early morning, we again visit the Dwarkadhish temple to partake in the morning Aarti amid the serene ambience of the morning. Then we proceed for Bet Dwarka followed by Nageshvara Jyotirlinga and Rukmini temple with breakfast served en route. Bet Dwarka is about 5kms away from Okha junction into the sea while Okha falls at a distance of 30 kms from the Dwarka city. At Bet Dwarka stands the famed Lord Krishna temple which is believed to have been the original residence of Lord Krishna during his ruling years. After Darshan at Bet Dwarka temple, we proceed to visit the revered Nageshvara Jyotirlinga, one of the 12 cosmic light lingams of Lord Shiva that our country has. Next we visit the Rukmini temple, dedicated to the fond wife of Lord Krishna. Back to hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 3 : Dwarka – Porbandar
Next day post breakfast we depart for Somnath en route Porbandar r. At P Porbandar, we visit Mahatma Gandhi’s birthplace and residence, Kirti Mandir and subsequently Gandhi Museum followed by a visit to the Sudama temple after which we head straight to Somnath. Somnath is renowned for its shore temple belonging to Lord Shiva. Somnath is situated on Gujarat’s west coast and in vicinity to Veraval. According to legends, the Somnath temple was built in Gold for the first time by moon god, then in silver by sun god, next in wood under Lord Krishna’s command and finally in stone by Bhimadeva. Somnath temple too is a Shiv Jyotirlingam and one among the 12 revered Jyotir lingams that our country has. Upon reaching Somnath, check into hotel, freshen up and later proceed to attend the evening Aarti at the Somnath temple and also enjoy the fabulous light and sound show. Back to hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 4 : Somnath – Junagadh – Ahmedabad
Next day after breakfast we leave for Ahmedabad en route Junagadh. At Junagadh, we visit the famous Uparkot fort, Mahabat Maqbara and Ashoka Edicts. Post visit, we drive down strait to Ahmedabad. On reaching Ahmedabad, you are transferred to airport/railway station where our representative sees you off and you depart for your onward journey back home. Thus, ends the most memorable pilgrimage tour of yours.
